★ 4I had dinner and brunch during the restaurants soft opening this weekend. Friday was packed, which had an impact on service. When the food came, it wasn't hot but taste wise was very good. I had the Korean short rib with rice. My friends had the ribeye steak and salmon. Temperature aside, both liked their dish. For drinks we had margaritas and a side car. My margarita was good but a little sweet for my taste.
Saturday the hubby and I went for brunch. It was much slower and the food came out with little wait time. Our waitress Jenny, was very friendly and professional. I loved that she checked on us multiple times and was eager for feedback.
My husband had the banana fosters pancakes eggs and chicken sausage. All were good - with the chicken sausage surprisingly flavorful ! I had the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. All very good. They cook the scrambled eggs soft as an FYI. I had a pineapple orange mimosa and it was delicious !
Overall I would patron this restaurant again. -

★ 3Great location by the river, clean modern vibes, with hit-or-miss service. We walked in early, around 5:30. There was no one at the hostess table so we sort of stood by the entrance waiting to get acknowledged. It wasn’t a busy time, but everyone was running around, busy, and two servers (or hostess? Couldn’t really tell) saw us and passed by us, but never said anything to us. This always throws me off a restaurant, when I’m not properly greeted. But it didn’t last long, and someone came to help soon, with a nice smile and friendly demeanor. Everyone else that we interacted with afterwards were nice.
Then we were escorted to I forget what they called it, but the hall? Or something like that - not the actually dining room, which had windows facing the river, but the side by the street, where all the view we got was of cars passing by. I was a little taken aback when the hostess tried to sit us here, because she called it something (I forget the exact term) but it made me feel that it wasn’t the actual dining room. She saw my expression and then offered to sit us in the dining room “if you really want”. There was just one couple in the dining room (and 2 couples in the room we were asked to sit at), so we thought maybe there were tons of reservations or something and didn’t want to cause a buzz, so we said it was ok and sat down. The weird thing that happened as we dined here from 5:30 to about 6:30 (we had a show to attend at 7), was that as the restaurant started to fill up, we saw that the room where we were in got filled with all African-American people (we were the Asian exception). The dining room, visible through the display case dividing the two areas, was filled with white people. They took one black couple to the dining room after the room we were in was full. I don’t know what the deal was, and it is completely possible that it was a coincidence, but I did have a weird nagging feeling of segregation in the back of my head. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I could also say that, they were just putting all the hip, well dressed people in the front, because we would be visible from the window facing the street.
Lakefront ipanCan’t go wrong with this classic.
Old fashioned sour 18nI think they got my order wrong and got me the sweet rather than sour. Very sweet.
Wagyu burgernDelicious wagyu. The meat was definitely juicy and tender, and well seasoned.
Wings with saucenToo much sauce over not-crispy enough wings. Wouldn’t get it again.
Grilled BroccolininThis was awesome. I loved how crispy it was, though they could have toned down a notch on the butter.
So overall, I had a nice experience with service except for the very beginning and the very end. Good food and some ok food. Good drink and a wrong drink. The place is newly opened and I’m sure will get the wrinkles taken out soon. -

★ 5I understand that this is a brand new restaurant and they are working through some kinks. We expected longer than normal wait times and we knew that going in. Aside from that this was a great experience for us. The host was very pleasant and so was our server. The food is top tier. Flavor is unmatched. The place is so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back especially once the patio opens

I will be back. This place is really classy. A very nice place to hanging out with your boo or like me with my brother. This will be where my sisters will be coming.
