Wanted to check out a mom and pop breakfast spot/ coffee shop. Everyone was friendly. The coffee was very good and smooth, we went with the lunch specials and French toast. The plan was to share/ sample it with my wife. Once i started in on the cran cake...there was no turning back. I enjoyed the food. It was a lunch special so the portion seemed a little small. Overall I liked the atmosphere and plan to go back on a weekend morning to try more breakfast items. Thanks for the good eats and we will be back

I am always looking for great food spots in Portsmouth. I passed this spot and decided to look up their menu. I saw several items on their breakfast menu that I wanted to try. We went on a Sunday at 10am. It's a small dining area but there were a few open tables. You seat yourself and order at the counter. They have an extensive menu of coffee, drinks, and smoothies. I ordered hot jasmine tea, my friend ordered sweet tea. For food, I selected the mushroom and avocado bowl over grits and a side of pan fried potatoes. My friend ordered the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and a side of eggs. The food was fresh and delicious. I loved the fresh parmesian cheese over the potatoes. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The service was excellent. We'll definitely be back to try lunch.

If i could give this place a 20/10 i would. Absolutely phenomenal food (i ordered the fresh herb and sausage pancakes and a purple haze latte). Everything was the perfect proportions and everyone that worked there was so kind. They did take a little while to bring out my food (not that I minded, the atmosphere of light jazz and casual conversation in the background could've held me hostage there all day) and they gave me a coffee refill and a cinnamon roll on the house for the wait! (The cinnamon roll went to my mom and she said it was one of the best she's ever had). Overall i have to say i will be back and this place will be in my brunch recommendations to friends and family in the future!

    Great!
It was my first time there. Jo (one of the owners) took the time to answer any questions I had regarding substitutions on food. I ordered the big breakfast but s믭 regular pancakes for the apple fritter pancakes, which are a must. I ordered a purple haze latte. Little did I know, as she turned around and drew the little character you see on the cup in the photo, that I went to find a table. While I was seated, several servers and her brother Jackson (the other owner) came by to check and see if I needed anything. The restaurant is small, perfect for one or two people to come in and grab a quick bite. Their menu is pretty extensive for breakfast and lunch. You can find something for everyone. They also have coffees and smoothies, not to mention a drive-through for quick grab-and-go items. They had several bakery items such as flavored scones, cookies, and salted caramel bars.
    I definitely will be back.

I love this place! It truly has it all. It has a drive-thru, is family friendly, the staff are so kind & attentive and best of all the food and coffee are unique and out-of-this-world delicious. It's really expensive but totally worth it and whenever I can I come support this local gem. I just wish they were open on Mondays and closed on some other random weekday because several times now I've tried to go on a Monday and forgot they're closed 😫 😅
