  I miss the previous owner, the old J.J's. First the Atmosphere is terrible, I've seen sterile hospital cafeteria that have better atmosphere then this place. The food was poor quality and quantity at high price. The home fryes look and tasted like it had sat on the grill for two days. My wife total hated the crab cakes, not what we would expect for Maine crab cakes. These look like the cheap frozen crab cakes from Sams. These are the first crab cakes my wife has never disliked. The sausage and gravy with thin with little favor. The only positive was my eggs were grilled perfectly. The real plus was the service, our mature waitress was very attentive and got our order in with very little wait. It seems me the staff is pretty good, but owners are very cheap on the food and the dining/bar room. There are so many other better restaurants and cafes in the area I just don't see us going back.

  I used to eat breakfast/brunch here with my family often over the years but I won’t be returning due to the last experience.
  
  It was off season & not busy at all. Maybe 12 customers in total. But yet we waited, and waited, and waited for someone - ANYONE- to greet us. 3 employees working (NOT talking about kitchen staff either), walking around, walking by us, walking out back again and again like I’m stuck in some time loop. We are smiling trying to make eye contact, I’ve resorted to try waving to someone. Mind you, it’s not a big place & we were a group of 4 (2 tweens, 2 adults). So you had to go out of your way to ignore us. And ignore us they did for 20 minutes (no exaggeration). Not one person made any attempt to communicate to us in any manner. No eye contact, no smile. So not one staff member could be bothered to say “hello be right with you”? 20 minutes purposely ignored. In hindsight we should’ve left at the 10 minute mark.
  
  Maybe those employees don’t work there anymore or maybe they do, but we won’t be back to find out.

  Fun fact: You can comfortably skip every other restaurant in Old Orchard Beach, as JJ's Eatery is the one to go to. The food, friendly service, and entire experience stand out as being top-quality and worth every cent.

  Great service and the food were not bad at all, except my friend does not like her coleslaw that came with her fried fish. I don't blame her. It doesn't look fresh or appetizing to me. Everything else was great. I love my crispy fried onions very much.

  Great service, friendly staff. Food was great. We had a reuben, lobster special and my son enjoyed his burger. And the spinach artichoke dip was the best I've tasted.
