  The food was very tasty! The pancakes were big, light, airy, and soft like a mouth pillow. The bacon stripe were a little small as was the sausage link, but they were delicious. The home fries were seasoned nicely, but I am not sure they were homemade. I suspect not. The freshly made breads are nicely toasted on the griddle. I had the pear raspberry. Only order it if youre sure you're going to eat it. Fresh bread doesn't keep well. I will definitely be back as a regular. I got the School Street combo plus the toast.
  
  The atmosphere is beachy, which is perfect. It has yet to achieve that lived-in charm that The Red Cottage has, but it is bright and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and in good humor. They are knowledgeable and can help guide first timers well.

  This was a lovely cafe. Very clean, light and airy atmosphere. The food was delicious and staff were very friendly. A nice brunch spot!

  My boyfriend and I usually frequent Good Friends Cafe about 3-4 times a year; we are from out of state so finding a good breakfast/lunch place like this is great! If you're going for breakfast- they usually serve a great and pretty tasty breakfast. We were headed back home and decided to stop by for late breakfast/lunch. I am not trying to bad mouth Good Friends Cafe, but today they didn't treat us like Good Friends- it is usually pretty busy but the service is usually good- this was not the case today as we were kinda ignored some girls came in about 20 minutes after us and got waited on first and got their food right away. We honestly didn't mind but it definitely was noticeable. The service only got worse as I had to chase down people for a second cup of coffee and sugar & cream. I decided to get their turkey blt on a grilled croissant as it sounded really good and I've seen others get it and it looked great.....well that was a big mistake. The sandwich wasn't grilled, it was over loaded with their mayo sauce and over loaded with lettuce and missing stuff. It was soggy and messy I took a bite and it was impossible not to realize the sandwich was slapped together as the turkey was cold inside too. It was a very disappointing experience for me when usually the service and food is better. They were nice and comped our whole meal but with the service and food recieved today I had lost my appetite and didn't want anything from them anymore (my boyfriend's breakfast was good and they were nice to offer to make me something else which I declined) I am not trying to be mean as they usually have great breakfast and service- but today was very disappointing and we just didn't feel as if we were very welcomed there anymore. It will probably be our last time there going forward.

  Very friendly local spot with really good breakfast. This is not your average diner/ breakfast spot. The menu is pretty expansive and everything is worth having which is impressive. I have been here twice before and each time I have left st￭ and very happy with the food/ experience. It can get busy but if theres a wait its worth it to have the best breakfast in the area. I recommend having the combo plate of eggs, pancakes, home fries and meat to get a njce diverse plate of options to try. The homefries are an absolute must! Pancakes fluffy and flavorful, eggs seasoned and cooked perfectly, chicken sausage and bacon were also good quality. My wife had the waffle which was on of the best shes ever had and she loves waffles. Will continue to return anytime we are in the area.

  TO DIE FOR! Best breakfast EVER!
  
  She gave us an estimated 35 minutes wait time and with all the people ahead of us we were surprised it was precisely 35 minutes! The inside waiting area has free coffee. You can also wait outside on their umbrella covered patio tables.
  
  The food seriously was the best breakfast I have ever had. I stopped on the way out to tell the hostess that and Chef happened to be with her! Nice to be able to give Chef a direct compliment! Nice job sir!!
