★ 1I’ve been visiting Friendly’s for about 25 years and have never had a bad Fribble until recently. My husband and I visit this friendlys usually once a week on the weekends as a treat and over the last month or so, every Fribble has been made very thin, like milk consistency. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was just a couple of off nights. Tonight, I specifically ordered my Fribble “thick” since we keep running into this issue. Both of our Fribble’s came out like flavored milk. I brought mine back in to be re-made thick and when the server handed it to me, she told me “if you want it thick, you need to order it thick next time.” I responded “I did order it thick” and she walked away.
As every New Englander knows and as advertised on the clock right behind the counter, a Fribble is a thick Frappe. Ever since this seemingly new server has been making the Fribble’s they have been this thin consistency, which leads me to believe, she might not know how to make a Fribble. I should not have to ask for my Fribble to be made thick, when it is advertised as “thick”. Not only has her attitude been bad in the past, but it was not very friendly when I kindly asked for it to be re-made accordingly.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this location. The Walpole Friendly’s location, although farther away, knows how to make a proper Fribble. Very sad to see Friendly’s become what it is today -

★ 4The food is basic and earns about three stars; kids like it, but for me it's ehh. The sundaes are the standout, deserving 4.5 stars. The Hunka Chunka PB Fudge Lava Cake is decadent, topped with ice cream, hot fudge, peanut butter, caramel, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup adds extra richness. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, it's a must-try.

★ 1My friend and I went to this Friendly’s location at 6:36 pm on March 17, 2026 to have dinner. As I was biting into the second half of my grilled cheese, I felt something while biting into it that I thought was cheese, but when I pulled the sandwich away from my mouth, I saw a bandaid hanging out of it (this was IN my mouth and I was CHEWING on it unknowingly :/). when I saw this it made me feel extremely disgusted and uncomfortable. When I told this to the waitress, she said “oh this is a piece of the wrapper from the cheese”. Then when she leaned in and looked at it closer, she immediately and quickly took our plates away and left. She apologized for it and my meal was taken off the bill, but I can’t help but feel extremely disgusted and upset at this experience, and I feel more needs to be done about this, as I am nervous about what was on the bandaid as it had been in my food and in my mouth. (The clear, waterproof kind of bandaid that sticks to your skin the entire day).
We tried to be as respectful to the waitress about this as we could be, but this is not okay. -

★ 1One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The waitstaff were too few in number and overworked. The food was mediocre at best, but largely just terrible. The latest iteration of the Friendly’s menu leaves a lot to be desired - your choices are either uninspired refrigerated Sysco options or unimaginative refrigerated Sysco options - cooked by, it would seem, either the already overworked waitstaff or someone who had just that day learned how to operate kitchen equipment. Even the ice cream has become mediocre. I’m still nauseated from the meal. I’m not blaming the waitstaff, who had to do the best they could under trying circumstances; an indifferent corporate culture towards customers and employees is definitely to blame here. 0/10, will not be returning. Bonus advice: if you do go, don’t get anything labeled “Buffalo” unless your taste runs to a sweet BBQ sauce that has as much to do with Buffalo sauce as wings do on a buffalo.

★ 5We get burgers and fries with a huge drink for under $15.00. It's always a little loud. The service is fast. Nice people too. It's always pretty clean. You never have to wait to be seated. Great place for kids or families.
