★ 3We arrived at 7pm and were promptly greeted and escorted to a table. I asked for a high chair, as I had our daughter in tow. We were given menus and the host let us know that the waitress would be right over. First issue, we were not given any water or a children’s menu. I tried several times to flag someone down for a children’s menu, because we were tired and hungry from being on the road, and our toddler was getting fussy from hunger so I wanted to order ASAP.
Finally, our waitress came over at about 7:15 with water glasses - she was friendly, but she seemed pretty inexperienced and others around us were visibly also unhappy with the service they were receiving. There was an elderly couple behind us who had been waiting for their bill since before we were seated. Another couple beside us both got garden salads instead of Cesar salads, and they were voicing their displeasure loudly.
I inquired to the waitress about if a children’s menu existed, and it did - so she left again to get it. I wasn’t too thrilled with the children’s menu because it was basically “chicken fingers” “fish n chips” “hotdog” “salad”. My toddler hasn’t gotten the hang of eating anything that’s like a sandwich, and definitely can’t eat salad yet (choking hazard for young children). So the only options left are both fried foods with fries - no available substitutes (I.e. steamed veggies or something). The whole point of going to the restaurant over going to a drive thru was for healthier options and less junk food… but here we are. I was pretty disappointed by their options for children.
I don’t know if maybe the waitress was new and in training or something so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant was pretty busy, and only a few tables were open. It seemed to me like there were two waiters and one bartender and they were all juggling hosting/greeting/seating/bussing. They were obviously understaffed for the volume of people.
Around 8 our appetizer arrived - fried chicken wings with sauce on the side. Only issue I had was that I would prefer and expect side plates with chicken wings, but we were not given any. Additionally, the only napkins available were the ones wrapped around the utensils. So with messy fingers we had to undo the other utensils since we couldn’t flag the busy waitress down for more napkins. I find this practice very wasteful since they will have to rewash all the opened utensils. It’s likely a covid issue with the napkins, but none the less, the servers should have the foresight that wings are messy so they should know to bring napkins when serving.
Shortly thereafter our mains arrived. They were both very good, but my chicken sandwich had a mystery chunk in it (likely meat shrapnel from the deep fryer). So heads up to those who have allergies that the fryer obviously used for all foods (specifically seafood allergies). Overall good, but I found the tomato extremely thick cut and too much red onion (there was like an entire onions diameter of red onion in there! - I feel bad for my husband now since my breath is likely terrible)nMy husband ordered the fajitas: overall he enjoyed them but found that there was way too much onion in their ratio.
We also ordered the $7 fish and chip for our toddler and it was massive. I wish it had been smaller, since again that amount is pretty wasteful.
Overall, I found the prices high (pretty typical for a hotel restaurant). For two beers, one shared appetizer, two mains, and one child’s meal we paid $96! -

★ 5Mohamed,our server was absolutely delightful, attentive, and interested in making sure we had the best experience. He mixed us the best dry martini aswell! We ordered Nachos with beef toppings,my son who is in the restaurant industry, said they we're amazing, and that would be exactly how he would make them. Mohamed suggested, our mains ,and he did not disappoint! Service, food, and experience we're delivered with upmost perfection! Thank-you to the chef who prepared our meals, and thank you to the establishment, for giving us such an amazing experience.

★ 2The only reason to go here is if you are staying in the hotel and don’t want to walk two blocks to a Chinese place. The food was adequate. Needed more salt and les garlic powder. Kitchen was quite slow. The happy hour draft beer was excellent, but that just means there’s a good brewery in town - not that you have to go to this restaurant to have any.
