★ 2We got a French toast that was supposed to be a st■ French toast but it was dry as a brick. The orange juice tasted off and my dish was just mid. The place had some grime but I noticed a very dusty area and attached that image to the review. I won't be back but I wish them the best of luck moving forward.

★ 5We were very disappointed with the breakfast offerings at the Encore Hotel and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It turned out to be a real stroke of luck. The food selection is very diverse, and the value for money is excellent. The owner is warm and very attentive. We stayed in Boston for three nights and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here all three times. Thank you for your hospitality.

★ 5Food was excellent, I’m a person who typically likes lunch food more than breakfast but this breakfast was so delicious. Eggs were fried perfect over easy, potatoes were moist inside but crispy on the outside, all the food was well seasoned and felt like good value. Staff is nice and attentive. I recommend Dempseys special. Definitely will come back!

★ 3Dempsey’s Breakfast & Lunch: A Royal Feast (But Mind the Crown Jewels)nnThe Queen, The Prince, and this humble subject embarked on a noble quest for breakfast glory at Dempsey’s Breakfast & Lunch in Everett—a 4.4-starred kingdom according to Google’s loyal peasants. After a swift seven-minute chariot ride and a brief parking joust, we crossed the threshold… and wondered if we’d accidentally stumbled into a vintage diner instead of a top-rated eatery.
The floors whispered tales of meals past (perhaps in need of a knight with a mop), the ceiling tiles looked like they’d survived the Boston Tea Party, and the walls could’ve used a fresh coat of paint—or possibly an exorcism. But fear not! The service was swift and friendly, our waitress materialized like a breakfast fairy godmother, and the menu was a tome of endless possibilities. Fifteen omelet choices? A crepe fit for a sugar-crazed prince? The Queen and I nearly succumbed to decision paralysis.
When the food arrived, all doubts melted like butter on a hot pancake. The Western omelet was a golden masterpiece, the sausage crispier than a New England fall, and the Prince’s Nutella-st■ crepes could’ve doubled as a dessert plate. Even The Queen’s bacon achieved peak crispness—no small feat for royalty.
Then came the scroll of doom (aka the bill). At $71 pre-tip, we briefly considered pawning The Prince’s crown to cover the cost. Was it delicious? Absolutely. Worth the treasure? Debatable. If you’re prepared to part with a few extra gold coins, Dempsey’s will treat you well—just don’t expect the ambiance to match the price tag.
Final Verdict: 4 stars for food, 2 for atmosphere, and 1.5 for your wallet’s survival chances. We’ll be back… once the royal treasury recovers. -
