First of all, understand the experience before you stay here. It is an INN! Charm, charm charm. I wanted to do a quick overnight with my daughter and check out a bunch of fun things (hike at Sugarloaf, yankee candle, Treetop beer, Butterfly conservatory and pumpkins). The Inn Keeper does such a good job explaining everything the Inn has to offer (don't lose your keys!), the rooms are spotless. No, really, so so so clean. We went on a weekend, and it was busy but pleasantly quiet. Coffee in the hallways (love access to hot coffee 24/7. Such a charming and relaxing place to stay.

Lovely, small inn from 1884 adjacent to the Deerfield Academy grounds and among the Historic Deerfield buildings. Lots of charming details and touches like the Afternoon Tea from 2:30 - 5:00 pm with cookies and small dessert bars for hotel guests or pay a fee for visitors.

Pros:n- The carafe of ice water in the room and Biscoff cookies - very much appreciatedn- Elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor where the rooms were located. Bookshelf of books.n- Keurig coffee / tea on the 2nd floor for 24 hours coffee/tea service plus business center with computer and printer.n- Room 143 Cora Carlisle on the 2nd floor - lovely, spacious, and comfortablen- Plenty of hot water and huge bath towelsn- Bed was comfortable and room was quietn- Champney's margarita flight was quite good and big enough to share.n- Continental breakfast included - muffin, melon sliced fruit, plain yogurt, coffeen- The porch with chairs was very nice to sit outside and there was a sitting area with games and a puzzle in the lobbyn- Air conditioning and heat - room was comfortablen- Parking in front of the hotelnnCons:n- The sink faucet/taps and shower tap metal was a bit discolored with the gold tone worn away. Everything worked fine though.n- The string to lower the blinds next to the toilet was non-existent.n- Additional housekeeping gratuity added to the billn- The Continental breakfast could have been improved with more fruit (other than cantaloupe and green melon), hard boiled egg. There wasn't a lot of food put out and the coffee was a bit watery.n- Slight musty smell downstairs made me cough but rooms were fine.

Overall, Deerfield was a charming, historic hotel and I would stay again and come on a Wednesday - Saturday to visit historic Deerfield buildings.

Lovely historic Inn and Restaurant. Comfortable common rooms with antique furniture and tea service. Bedroom nicely furnished for a relaxing visit. Dining room was well furnished and menu top class.

What a wonderful Inn. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly. I went there with my husband and my 1 year old daughter. They made us feel very welcomed. The building is beautiful. The room was cozy. I love how we had available cold water in our room and coffee station next to our door. The restaurant was wonderful, we had dinner and breakfast at the inn. While our daughter was taking a nap we were able to have a couple drinks at the wonderful bar. Evening was delicious. I definitely recommend this hotel, the restaurant and can’t wait to come back.

The Greenfield Inn was both a delight and a dissapointment all wrapped up in the same blanket. The original Inn is both historic and delightfull. Unfortunately the rooms are divided between the original historic Inn and an annex. We stayed in the annex.

Upon arrival in our room we both thought that we were paying premuim rates to stay in a Raddison Inn. The room was fitted with period furniture but the architecture was beyond poor. The hallways were narrow and the building shook when anyone walked upstairs.

Now don't get me wrong - I woulrecommend this place if you can get a room in the original Inn. Dinner was fantastic!
