  Coffee Matter is just outside Bar Harbor and totally worth the 10 minute drive. A large and interesting market with local goods, thoughtfully selected wines, and a garden/hardware store! But the highlight is definitely the coffee. Roasted in house and truly top tier espresso. If you seek out artistically crafted coffee, a stop at Coffee Matter will not disappoint!

  Best coffee of our trip, which is saying something. We came in once with just our daughter and the experience was so good we came back a second time with extended family. The toast options are diverse and filling, the space is comfortable and relaxing, and we never once felt rushed. Easy recommendation for anyone passing through.

  Hands down the BEST coffee on Mount Desert Island! Finally espresso done right 😋The service was amazing and prompt. Great scones and muffins too!

  This place is amazing. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and the food and coffee are fantastic.
  If you are looking for a great breakfast or lunch this is your next place to visit.
  While you there don’t forget to check the place next to it and for what the owner told me the coffee place will be there.
  We tried few of the items for food and all of it was just perfect.
  Creat to see This much talent in love all In this part of Maine. I’m going back .

  Their nitro cold brew is legit! Popped in for a little coffee pick me up and was not disappointed. They also have a nice lawn with picnic tables to sit and serve sandwiches that looked very delicious.
