★ 5Grabbed dinner in person, everything tasted super fresh, there’s just a difference. We loved the taste of the batter and appreciated that it wasn’t fall apart. The clam chowder is the star of the show, one of the best I’ve had (fresh and tasty). We even loved the hotdogs.
Ordered fishermen platter, 2 hotdogs with fries, side of onion rings, glass of soda water, two Mai tai’s, and garlic parm wings. It came out to $108 and we had so much leftovers to pack. -

★ 5Dive bar with great food. Ordered the fisherman's platter because I cant ever decide what I want but its seriously enough for 3+. I couldn't even close the box there was so much left over. It reheated very well in the air fryer. Before and After I ate...

★ 5Heard so much about Captain John's we decided to try. The bar side was crowded but not the restaurant. I have to admit it was kinda early. We went for the seafood. So many options to choose. We got the side of onion rings. Very good. On my best list. The 3 of decided on the fried haddock. Very generous portion, cooked great, and was as fresh as they just got it from the ocean! Our waitress (forgot her name) was exceptional. Highly recommend for seafood. Will be back.

★ 5Tried this place out on a work visit to Boston. Great little place. Had the seafood platter, which is recommended 100% and the seafood chowder. Seafood chowder was on point, the potatoes and seafood in it came out piping hot and full of flavors; salty, savory, not too thick just right. This is a must have when visiting. The chowder was chocked full of meat; chunks of fish, oysters, scallop and hearty chunks of potatoes The seafood platter was layered with fries then crispy fried fish and then surrounded with battered fried oysters, shrimps and scallops. One plate will feed two people. Also came with a side of homemade slaw which had just the right amount of sweetness to it. Just a side note, sodas are not free refill. Might be just that I'm from the south and am accustomed to free refills. Nevertheless, this seafood joint did its job, I left there with leftovers for late night snack. Thank you for a great first impression. Service was great for the most part, just once or twice had to wait a little bit for drink refills, but it's all good. Parking is ample behind the restaurant in a big lot with paid parking through the passport parking app.

★ 5A Delectable Feast from the OceannIf you’re searching for a meal that truly celebrates the bounty of the sea, look no further than a perfectly crafted seafood platter. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying a seafood platter that surpassed all expectations and set a new standard for freshness, variety, and flavor.
The platter arrived beautifully arranged, with an enticing selection that included succulent shrimp, crispy clams, flaky fried haddock, and sweet scallops. The presentation made this dish as delightful to look at as it was to eat.
Every item on the platter radiated freshness. Notably, there was no trace of fishiness—just the clean, delicate flavors you’d expect from top-quality seafood. Each bite demonstrated that only the best ingredients had been chosen.
This seafood platter was a true celebration of the ocean’s gifts. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or a newcomer to the genre, this platter will leave you savoring every last bite and planning your next visit. Highly recommended! From the minute we walked in the door our friendly bartender Danielle made us feel welcome and at home. We will be back!
