I have been watching this place for almost two weeks. Finally me and my daughter got our buts up and went on over. Very short stroll over from our hotel. Walked in and mildly busy picked up very fast. The servers were very very kind and upbeat for 730 am. Thank case is small but filled with amazing treats was so hard deciding. Then I saw the almond croissant, was a must have with cripsy flaky outer layer with these sugary almond clusters on top pairing so perfectly with the croissant layer till you reach the sweet almond filling light not over pack every bite was perfect almond croissant. Not to much not to little. The size is massive you will be full till lunch for sure it you can eat it all im plus size and I could not. Definitely saving for dessert or tomorrows breakfast. Next my daughter the tiny picky eater im in the world of just try it. Shes never had bakery goods always has refused today she went with coffee cake. It is dense very sweet excellent choice for any muffin cake lovers. Soft thick tasty with slightly crunchy top with thin layer of glaze and dusting of powder sugar. The size of the slice of cake is massive for such a heavy cake you are spoiled on the size two adults could split it or if you have more one kiddo could definitely feed 3 babes with one slice. The next goodie was the lemon Danish so so good sweet lemon filling takes me back to a childhood memory cant quite place sweet but slightly tart. Then to pairing it all i grab cold brew ice coffee that was nothing great or good make yourself coffee. The place picked up in business very quickly. Locals are on a mission knowing exactly what they showed up for. Newbies may feel rushed and not big standing area. The servers did not rush you they chartered to you making sure you had gotten everything you need. Cashier was adorable good quick conversation made feel more like your every day spot rather than my first time in there. The price was bit high but understandable for quality and size I paid 26.43 with small tip. Truly only complaints I could have was could use another cashier moved the line along without rush those not sure or bigger area for people to make decisions without being in the way. Also seating area our room does not have a table hotel has outside seats but its been very cold. All this could very well change in the summer kennebunk has many cute spots to spot and have a seat with coffee and almond croissant 😁 overall they are definitely 5 stars purely based on food quality and service.

We're visiting from California and was looking for a coffee and pastry spot. The Boulangerie was Soo yummy!!! The latte was very smooth and perfect. My blueberry scone was delicious. Not too dry and crumblely. Everything Homemade - croissants, quiches, cinnamon rolls, bread and more. Plus a fabulous selection of wines. Stop in for coffee and a snack.

Ah mazing!!! I had the broccoli, scallion, cheddar quiche, and it was delicious!! I also bought a blueberry scone and a blueberry handpie bc when in Maine ya gotta have blueberries. These are for later, but look delicious. A local favorite, so the line goes out the door, but so worth the wait.

Oh my goodness the croissants! Still dreaming about their flaky goodness!

I will echo what another reviewer said in that these croissants are out of this world, but the coffee missed the mark. I was really looking forward to having a cup of coffee and sitting outside, but the coffee was a bit warm, not piping hot, and it just wasn’t robust enough. But the croissant… I am still dreaming about these croissants! We also ordered several things to go, including some other types of pastries, but we are still talking about the croissants. We ate some croissants there; we brought some croissants with us, and even after a couple days the croissants were flaky and delicious. We would come back again just for the croissants! Gosh I feel like I used said the word ‘croissant’ more in this review than I have in a year.

Tips for going: of course, there will be a line, so just expect it. On a beautiful sunny day there are lots of scattered places to sit, but also again, there will likely be quite a few people already seated. The line moves quickly. And people are friendly enough that if you ask nicely to join their table and they have empty seats, they will certainly let you.

PS. They also had a surprisingly good wine selection.

We were in the area for a week on vacation and I loved trying new coffee shops each morning. I got a hot maple latte and my husband got a cheese danish - they were both incredible - but I think we loved the space the most! We got the sweetest book from the little free library next to the shop and read to our daughter while we enjoyed their space outside. One of our highlights from our week away!
