  I happen to stumble upon this place after looking for somewhere I have lunch while in the area. And it was a great find. Bring lunch it was quiet, but the service was excellent and the food was great. I had the Chowdah and the Cesar salad. Both looked amazing and tasted great as well. The inside of the restaurant is simple but very nice. I enjoyed my time here very much and will return to have dinner.

  I had Leticia as my server. She was amazing and so so nice 🩷 I came on Smashburger night, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. The chefs did amazing and the wings did not disappoint!!!

  My family and I had breakfast a couple times here at the tavern, and every time it was memorable. Mason, the support staff, always had this infectious smile and was so polite and personable. His knowledge of seat numbers is impressive and his efficiency in resetting all the tables around us was remarkable. Our waitress Brianna was absolutely lovely too! Very patient and tentative. I could tell she takes great care in her job and the people she serves! In conclusion, my experience at the Lazy Goat tavern was welcoming and comfortable. We will be returning!

  Located in the Essex Resort & Spa, we had breakfast at the Lazy Goat Tavern and enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere here. This place is a gem!

  What a creative menu - from the starters to the dessert. The salad and asparagus were prepared to perfection, and the Margherita flatbread pizza with its fresh mozzarella was delightful. Our server, Carolina was perfectly attentive and very personable. Her menu recommendations were spot on. We'll come find her for our next meal.
