  First time dining here. Great location and ambiance. The staff are very friendly. Wait time is short. Definitely a Middlebury institution.
  
  The portions are very large. Too much food for me and my partner. A short stack of pancakes is 3 huge pancakes. I found the batter less than satisfactory. The eggs were too greasy.
  
  I tend to avoid restaurants with mixed reviews. However, we had heard good things about the place so we gave it a try. We did. We don't need to go back. We prefer other breakfast places in Middlebury.
  
  Overall, keep everything the same, but raise the quality of the food.

  We LOVE Shiretown. It's our favorite spot for breakfast with our young twins. The people are kind & accommodating, the service is really fast, the drip coffee is high quality, and the food is consistently so good! Their lunch is killer too--some of the best BBQ I've had in VT (and I'm from Texas, so I know good BBQ). We also love their creemees, and they are the only place in town that serves them through the winter! I dream about their candy cane creemee all year.

  Good breakfast, but the coffee was not good. Nice bright, large dining area. The small country store has room for a much larger selection. They sell very nice mugs from a local artist.

  Excellent, friendly staff and exceptional quality food. I ordered the Turkey Cobb Salad. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy with the perfect ratio of meat, eggs, blue cheese crumbles, avocado and dressing. 10/10 would return when in the area.

  We went here for breakfast and got breakfast burritos. The Fire Roasted Red Pepper + Black Bean Burrito and Chorizo + Potato Burrito were both fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The service was pretty quick, and the ambiance inside is really nice and there is seating as well. Would definitely recommend for breakfast!
