  Lovely and cozy bed and breakfast in a great location. Booked last minute for one night and wished we had more time. Our room, Florence, was well-appointed, clean, and inviting with lots of personality (make sure you look in the basket weave purse at the old letters) and extra touches of throw blankets, cold water, and a sweet sitting area. The self-service check in was no problem, there were even fresh-baked cookies in the lobby. The lounge was open and there were games set out to play in the gathering rooms or to take to your room. We enjoyed dinner a la carte and there were choices for individually made breakfast. We didn’t get to sit outside on the patio as it was a rainy afternoon/evening. Our room was downstairs facing the street with a little road noise as the town got moving in the morning, but the bed was comfy and we slept well. Ample parking was available behind the building. We walked into the downtown area, really the inn is right in town. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Would recommend it and would stay again.

  We had our 10th anniversary dinner at Hartstone last night. It was such a WONDERFULLY UNEXPECTED EXPERIENCE! Service:5nThey took our coats at the door and asked us where we wanted to sit. We sat at a quiet little table, fireplace side, all alone in one of the little dining rooms and it felt like they were there just for us. We didn't feel rushed into our next courses and the flow was great. Food: 5 This was hands down the freshest ingredients making the Tastiest AND most beautiful food (usually NOT both) that we've had in Maine since moving here a few years ago. That's honestly saying something. Kinda mad that we slept on this place.. Chef Tom came out and talked to us after our meal and that really felt special to see who had made such amazing food. HIGHLY recommend. We will absolutely be back

  Amazing!! We’ve traveled a lot and Hartsone ranks at the top. The dinner was incredible and we even asked to meet the chef and sous chef to offer our thanks. Claudia, Stevie and Tom … all friendly, helpful and efficient. Book a table! The lobster, pork chop, fried milk and pancetta is awesome.

  The main inn seems lovely and is well located. Nice sunny tables for breakfast Good food and lovely wait staff. There was no inside common sitting area except for a small bar. And there were none of the expected cookies etc in the afternoon.
  Our main complaint was with our room. The Arbor Suite. While it appears in photos that rooms within the main inn may have been updated, that was not the case with the arbor suite, which is located in another building. The location was strange, as it seemed to be connected to another house where people were living. The room was spacious with a nice couch, Roku tv, and gas fireplace. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The bathroom however, was small. The shower and jacuzzi were dated and unappealing. We noticed rust spots on the baseboards and an overall lack of attention, although the room was clean. Heat and cooling were unevennI would guess the inn continues to be a nice choice but would not recommend staying in the arbor suite

  This Inn is a great place to stay and dine at in Camden. It is centrally located and we really enjoy the ambiance of the rooms. Dining at the Hartstone is a treat in itself. We recently took advantage of a one night stay and a 4 course dinner with each course paired with an appropriate wine. Our host Steve could not have been any better. His selected wines were spot on and really enhanced our dining pleasure. Chef Tom prepared us a wonderful meal which went way above our expectations. Our stay and dining here were perfect and we look forward to our next visit.
