★ 5I love going to the high hat - consistent , delicious food and drinks at a fun spot in cathedral hill with un matched vibes. I love the breakfast menu!!!!!! Perfect combo of unique and classic.
Night time live jazz (thurs-sat) is a completely different vibe with another amazing Dinner Menu!!! Curtains drawn, candles lit and an intimate experience with the best musicians I have ever witnessed. 2 drink minimum or 10$ cover for the shows (7pm-9pm) which is an awesome deal for the lever of performance and ambiance the high hat provides. -

★ 3The food was good enough overall, without many highlights for me to say that they were exceptional. Some of the dishes had minimal stuff in them that my friend felt the need to ask for additional sides to make them complete plates. We also tried their passionfruit and mango mimosas, and we both agreed that the mango and passionfruit flavors were not potent enough.
I ordered the huevos divorciados, which had pretty good salsa roja and salsa verde. Everything else was pretty standard, with black beans, over medium eggs, pico de gallo, and queso fresco as some of the other ingredients. Overall the flavor was there for sure, albeit not much beyond good. My friend enjoyed her French toast, which had challah bread, whipped butter, and maple syrup, which are some classic ingredients that are used for this dish. Once again, it was conventionally good with not much to highlight.
We shared an avocado toast as well, and it was okay. The poached egg was a bit overcooked, and there were too many mixed greens and not enough avocado mixture. In general, we enjoyed this place enough to recommend it to people and to return here if around the area. -

★ 5Our first visit was recently- this place is wonderful! It was pretty busy for a weekday and the 2 people working the front had it totally handled! Kitchen turned out excellent and fast brunch. It is pretty small inside but beautiful and fun to sit at the bar. Thanks to our lovely server whose cat Sam loves semi trucks!

★ 5Some of the best breakfast food I’ve had. I highly recommend stopping in. It was very busy when we came on a Saturday morning, but got in relatively quickly despite the line. Yum!!

★ 5I stumbled upon this delightful restaurant/jazz club while driving down Selby and shooting some ladies dining al fresco. Open for brunch everyday until 2 p.m., The High Hat serves a southern tilted breakfast menu.
I had the visits and gravy with a side of fresh greens. Tasty buttermilk biscuit, silky gravy, and perfectly prepared bars eggs. The add-on chorizo gave it a tasty kick!
A little on the spending side for breakfast, but I did feel arty and a bit decadent.
Go enjoy the ambience and excellent service, and indulge in a special brunch dish!
