  I had a generally lovely experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very kind and welcoming waitress. I asked her for a hot drink recommendation, and her suggestion of the Mocha Latte was spot on—it was absolutely delicious! The overall atmosphere was calm and pleasant, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal.n​As for the food, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, which was very tasty. My daughter also enjoyed her meal of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon; everything was cooked well and she loved it.n​The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is my main dish, the Heavenly Hash with scrambled eggs. I had requested Pepper Jack and American cheese on top of the hash browns. While the flavors were good, the dish was unfortunately overcooked. The onions and some of the potatoes were burnt, which left a bit of a bitter aftertaste.n​Despite that, everything else was wonderful, and the excellent service really stood out. I would definitely visit again!

  Such a great local breakfast spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without rushing us. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your morning. And our daughter loved the reindeer themed pancakes!

  We are super thrilled with our service!! I was once a server and I know the effort that it takes to take care of many tables and accommodate all. The Village Cafe is WONDERFUL! We love the new owners and appreciate their hospitality and loyal effort to keep this gem of a restaurant open. It takes hard work to keep a business afloat! We were very satisfied with the food, service, employees and cleanliness. We will return!!

  Found out also serves dinner now & looks absolutely wonderful. We went to lunch * it was truly excellent. I ordered the chicken salad supreme sandwich with cranberries & walnuts.
  Large portions !
  It was very good! Husband had French dip he just now told me it was delicious & tender. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Going back for their dinner meals.
  We were told their steak meals come with 2 sides & have baked potatoes, I'm in.They looked very good & their prices are very reasonable.
  Staff was oh so friendly. We had a very nice server named LIV.
  NEW modern feel & we've found a new restaurant which we need our area in Lake St Louis, MO

  Village Cafe has become one of our family's favorite weekend traditions. We live in another county and still find ourselves making the drive because it's just that good.
  
  The menu has something for everyone, but if you're new, do yourself a favor and order the breakfast tacos. They're my go-to every time. The food is consistently great, the portions are generous, and somehow the coffee always tastes even better when it's served in those giant mugs.
  
  There can be a bit of a wait during busy times, but that's only because so many people know what a gem this place is. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you never feel rushed once you're seated.
  
  What makes it even more special is knowing it's owned by a local family who genuinely cares about their customers and community.
