★ 5Marigolds was a great breakfast / brunch place. It was a beautiful day in Madison so I appreciated they had outdoor seating. Their outdoor setup is very quaint. It was nice sitting outside with one of their lattes and to feel the sun and breeze.
I went indoors for a moment and it’s beautifully decorated. But it would have been slightly cramped quarters for my taste.
The lattes were high quality. I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte and my date got the churro latte. We both liked the ones we chose. Hers was more subtle, while mine was sweeter and had some “flakes” on top which provides a slight texture of cereal.
The food was all delicious. I got the huevos rancheros with chorizos and my date got eggs, potatoes, and toast. The huevos rancheros were flavorful and the egg on top was perfectly cooked.
My only critique is on their service. Their service model is set up a lot like Panera. Inside, you order at a counter, are given a numbered flag, then your food is delivered to your table. Outside they do a more traditional table service. It is kind of weird because you pay for your food and service right when you order rather than at the end of your meal. The hybrid service model does not work for me, so I took a star off. Overall, the service was friendly and the food came out fast.
If you are passing through Madison in the morning or afternoon, then this is a great option. You won’t be disappointed. -

★ 5A Bustling Brunch Favorite in MadisonnnA lively bustling ambiance and often crowded, so expect some noise during busy hours, but the interior design is stylish and modern.
The service was amazing—friendly, attentive, and efficient even with the crowd. The food is simple, comforting, and delicious, focusing on classic brunch favorites done right.
The pancakes were especially yummy, with a perfect portion size that leaves you satisfied without feeling overly heavy. The orange juice tasted fresh and classic. Must-try is the CHILAQUILES, packed with flavor.
It’s also worth checking out their brunch specials, which can offer some unique and seasonal options. The restaurant has outdoor seating available, making it a nice spot during good weather.
The restrooms are clean, and the entrance faces northeast.
Overall, Marigold Kitchen is a great brunch destination in Madison for anyone looking for flavorful breakfast dishes. I definitely recommend this place and I will return in future. -

★ 4Very nice and pretty environment which we enjoyed. Unique food options that were pretty good. I would say it is on the more expensive side as we spent $40 on breakfast alone with a short stack of pancakes, two sausage links, and my husbands meal, and one orange juice. The workers seemed nice enough but didn’t really talk to us much. Just to take our order and drop it at our table.

★ 5First time coming here and loved it! I like that you order and then just sit down with your number. Drip coffee was fantastic, food wasn’t even long of a wait for how busy it was. And on top of that the food was so good! We split the breakfast sandwich and a stack of the lemon poppyseed pancakes. The lemon poppyseed pancakes were amazing— the ricotta whip with the orange zest was like a flavorgasm in your mouth.
Can’t wait to go back! -

★ 5As the other reviewers mention this place is an absolute gem. Great service, welcoming atmosphere and amazing food. Be prepared to wait for a short while for a table to free up for your group. But make sure to go in and add your name to the waitlist. Interesting concept to order at the counter and then be shown to your table which was a refreshing take on the typical formula. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a great breakfast spot.
