★ 5During a holiday vacation with my kids in Ellsworth, things took a frightening and heartbreaking turn when I was injured at our motel and ended up in the ER at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. I was in pain, overwhelmed, and trying to stay strong for my children, who were scared, exhausted, and hungry with no food options available.
In the middle of that incredibly difficult moment, Brick House Soup showed us a level of kindness and humanity I will never forget. Even though they normally do not deliver to the hospital, they made a beautiful exception just for us. They thoughtfully prepared warm soups and sandwiches for my kids, found a way to help us despite payment challenges, and treated us not as strangers, but as people who needed compassion and care.
Their food was comforting and delicious, but what truly touched my heart was their warmth, empathy, and generosity. Their kindness brought comfort and hope at a moment when everything felt overwhelming. They reminded me that even in the hardest situations, there are people in this world whose goodness can make you cry. In the best, most healing way.
Brick House Soup is so much more than a restaurant. It is a place filled with heart, humanity, and truly good people. I am deeply grateful, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in Ellsworth. -

★ 5This is one of the best breakfast places in town.
We did not expect to find a lovely breakfast like this in a little town. We kept going there every morning when we were in town.
The chicken Tikka Masala Soup is a must try. It's almost like a chili but with proper Tikka Masala taste. Their version can easily compete with the big city offerings. Very lovely to have a warm soup in a cold morning.
The brick house is properly made, with nice pumpernickel bagel, a non-greasy egg, and just a touch of bacon for flavor without it being overwhelmingnnThey guys in there are very friendly and great servicennHighly recommend -

★ 5On our way up to Harrington ME we stopped in to Brick House Soups for a cup of Lobster Bisque. Great old building, clean and inviting interior, tables had fresh flowers 💐 👌 and service was great. We both had cups of the Delicious and creamy Lobster Bisque. It was served with sourdough toast and we ordered the crisps. Very delicious and will be back to try some other things on their menu.

★ 5The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the Hungarian mushroom soup and the house made chips. The soup was a cream based and flavorful and rich, and the chips were fresh and delicious.

★ 5Quaint little establishment that knows their soups. We're vacationing up in Maine and saw this place and decided to stop and it was the best decision we could've made. Parking was a bit strange and off to the sidennI had the breakfast sandwich and tomato soup with toast and my fiancé had the soup flight of Broccoli Cheddar, Hungarian Mushroom and Tomato soup and a grilled cheese. We absolutely cleaned our plates and everything was great!
