Poppyseed Kitchen is such a cute and cozy place to eat! Our server, Haleigh, made sure we felt comfortable and satisfied with our food. We let them know that we’re Deaf customers, and she knew a few signs which made our visit even more pleasant and welcoming! They even brought out a Deaf employee to meet us, which was such a thoughtful and cool gesture.

I ordered the grits with shrimp, and my boyfriend had the ranch hash, both dishes were absolutely delicious! My matcha latte was made to perfection, smooth and balanced just the way I like it.

Before we left, we couldn’t resist grabbing a pumpkin cheesecake danish and an apple pie croissant to enjoy later; can’t wait to dig into those!

Overall, it was a wonderful experience with great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere for the Deaf community. Highly recommend checking them out! 💚🤟🏻

I waited way too long to try Poppyseed Kitchen, and it was an incredible experience. The service is seamless; the entire staff works together to ensure you’re well taken care of.
While the service was great, the food is the real standout. The homemade turkey sausage was flavorful, and the rosemary potatoes were perfect—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The biscuit and homemade jam were also absolutely delicious.

This local spot is a must-try!

This place is an absolute gem. If you are looking for the perfect family friendly restaurant this is it. We were passing through town, only 20 minutes from Charlotte, it’s worth the drive. Everything is fresh & delicious. My pants feel a little tighter but in the best way.

We started with some pastries, sat on the outside patio with kids games. I ordered the brisket hash and my husband had biscuits and gravy. The kids had the poppy pancakes and we were saying we wished we lived closer because it all was that good.

The table next to us also got the brisket hash and kept raving about it. The sauce on the brisket is delicious and also not too heavy.

On top on how great the food, you can tell this restaurant is owned by a family. They had a table you can grab games and the bathroom had a changing table and a step-stool. Having a step-stool is very exciting for our 3 year old.

We got extra pasties to bring home for our 3 hr drive and so happy we made this stop.

Please open one in South Florida.

A bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip. The food was really well done and nicely presented, and the coffee was solid and enjoyable. It’s the kind of place that feels intentional and relaxed. A good spot to slow down and enjoy a quality meal and cup of coffee.

This was a mediocre breakfast at most. Nothing special, or spectacular. $4 cups of coffee and Luke warm food. MONTE Cristo tasted fine, but was cold and congealed cheese. Salomon dish was flavorless, and the brisket scramble was full of dry stringy brisket consistent with maybe 1.5 ounces. Nothing too write home about. Must be all the outta state people hyping this place up...who knows...
