  Safe Harbor Café has a beautiful location—right on the water with peaceful views that make it a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is good and fresh, with a small but appealing menu, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. It is on the pricey side, but you’re definitely paying in part for the setting. A nice place to treat yourself if you’re looking for a scenic waterfront dining experience in Castine.

  Great place to grab lunch they do a great job in a limited space. I can’t imagine how hard it is to handle the lunch rush all at once with a small staff and small space but food is good and the crispy fries are the best ever. Looking forward to our first stop of this summer.

  I had the fish n chips which were very, very good; nice fresh fish, too all while overlooking the beautiful view. HOT Food served with a smile. For a new place, they've done an excellent job. I will def be back!

  This is a gold mine right at the pier. The only game in town for a quick bite of seafood, a lobster roll, burger or hot dog. Overall food is good and hits the spot just fine. However, the service is far from good and they can't seem to get their act together. Don't understand why it take 45 minutes for each order- regardless of what you order? And they don't care. This is a business that is a no brainer and yet, they can't figure it out.

  It makes me so sad to read the earlier bad review!!! We ordered crab rolls and fries.
  The crab rolls were delicious! They were almost pure crab and tasted like it. As good as the crab was, the fries were the best I ate on our week long trip to Maine. These folks are wonderful and work hard!
