★ 5Wow! I pulled off the interstate to grab lunch and by pure happenstance found myself at Kopper Kettle diner. It’s a friendly, hometown diner vibe with amazing home cooked food. I had the lunch special which was something I never heard of before—a Haddock Reuben. It’s exactly what it sounds like—they just s믭 fresh haddock for the pastrami. A huge improvement in the whole idea of a Reuben, and it tasted fabulous. The fish was perfectly fried in a super light batter—no grease whatsoever—and the kraut, cheese, and sauce were the perfect complement. Serves with fresh battered onion rings, crunch slaw, and even the pickles were excellent. Service was friendly. Atmosphere so homey I felt like hanging out awhile. The portions were so large that I had to give up before trying the home baked whoopied pies and muffins. Next time…

★ 5Go! Just Go! Closed Mon & Tues, this wonderful diner is open @ 6 AM thru 1 pm (or 1:30 pm, depending upon the day). It's CASH ONLY. There is an ATM just inside the door. Check out the MENU PICS-- there's even a full kids' menu! K.K. offers a large variety of entree choices. We stopped in twice while visiting Maine-- once entering the state & then again when leaving the state. The breads are made by a local baker-- check out the pic of Cinnamon Apple Bread! If you want to take a pre-sliced loaf home, it's $10. (SEE PIC) You can order INCREDIBLE corned beef hash made on site (or canned hash). The pancakes were large & fluffy. (Genuine maple syrup will cost you $3 extra.) Our eggs & Irish Benedict were VERY good. The Monte Cristo was PACKED w/ three types of meat (but not battered & deep fried as they are prepared in Florida). Fresh muffins were available for purchase beside the register. Service was very good. LOTS of regulars @ this eatery, which is always a great sign. Will definitely stop in on our return trip to the state. You should, too!

★ 3Typical American diner fare. I got eggs Benedict and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were cold and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was from a package, sub par.
The staff was great though and it was still leaps and bounds better than my nemesis, IHOP. -

★ 5Ist timer. Had a bit of a wait this morning, but to be expected on a Sunday. I had a cheese omelet with Apple-Cinnamon toast, a side of sausage for $13+change. Everything was delicious! Plan to return, possibly earlier than almost 9 a.m., next time I shop Market Basket especially. Thank you for a wonderful meal and service at the naughty corner table! 😋 Please try to pay them in CASH as requested on a wall board.
