★ 3We had been eyeing oak street for a while and decided to give it a try for my husbands birthday last night.
I’ll start by saying the food was excellent! But we were kind of taken aback by the service and environment of the restaurant. The building is beautiful. But when we walked in, the host was sitting on one of the lounge chairs on his phone and it took a second to get his attention.
Once we were seated, it took a bit for the waitress to come see us. She was super sweet and apologized, stating that she hadn’t noticed or realized we were over there.
We each ordered a soda, which were only refilled once during our entire meal. There was a lot of time spent with empty drinks.
As we were leaving, the host and a second employee were sitting in the lounge chairs in the entryway eating…nnThe restaurant truly is gorgeous and our food was delicious. It was just disappointing to see that the service was kind of… sloppy… when there is so so much potential for a high end dining experience in our small town. -

★ 3We ordered the st■ mushrooms and got mushroom slices with cheese and bread crumbs that were baked. (The menu said 3 st■ mushrooms). Very disappointed with what was brought out. It wasn't bad, but definitely not what we thought we were ordering.
For the main, I got the French dip with fries. Nothing was seasoned and the roast beef was mostly the fat. It was just OK. I would not order it again from here.
My partner got the turkey dinner and it wasn't seasoned either, but after adding a little salt it was good.
Overall, way too expensive for the quality of what came out of the kitchen. I want to like this place, because the staff are great, I've always had excellent service. But, honestly I've been disappointed with the quality of the food every time I've come. I won't be back. -

★ 5The Oak Street Bistro is a great place to talk with friends. The stories narrated by Mary Stair and the pirates have historical relevance. This place is also great for parties, like birthdays.

★ 5The night we stopped they were short staffed in the kitchen, but the food was well worth the wait. Staff was friendly and it was very nice inside.

★ 5I recently hosted a birthday luncheon for my partner at Oak Street Bistro. The manager, Deep, was very patient with me as I adjusted the number of guests and called him several times for more information. On the day of the party everything went perfectly. We had a great space and Tracy, our waitress, was attentive and very efficient. The 20 guests raved about their meals and we had a wonderful time.! The chef made a birthday cake that was also delicious.Thank you to all at the Oak Street Bistro.
