★ 5Generous portion sizes and great diner vibe. Attentive service. Awesome people watching. We ordered the latkes and root beer float and both were outstanding.

★ 4I had a great experience here! The staff were friendly and attentive - both the host and the servers made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The steak was absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The only small hiccup was that we ordered over-easy eggs but received them hard instead. Other than that, everything else was spot on. I'd definitely come back for the steak again! -

★ 3Atmosphere was great.
Host was friendly.
Classic diner feel.
Service was as expected . Nothing over the top.
Dined in solo on a burst Tuesday afternoon around 1:15pm . Place was packed . Was able to snag a seat at the counter . Ordered the Roscoe style pancakes . Nothing impressive. Just 2 large pancakes with a side of whipped cream , Nutella , syrup and small refrigerated butter packets . Pancakes cost $19 . Got sausage on the side . $7 for 3 links is pretty outrageous, but I get it , it’s 2025 and Yiu gotta mark it up due to overhead , rent , location, etc. Total after tax for 2 pancakes and 3 sausage links : $28.31 . After tip , $35 USD total.
Nothing special about the pancakes . They are just wide . Nothing special about the toppings either . Maybe whip the butter next time , serve it room temperature.
Pretty mid spot. -

★ 4Met a friend here after work. Place was cool. There was a large amount of little kids and babies here with their parents. I got a pbj sandwich cuz i wasn’t really hungry. bread was kind of stale and hard. The menu wasn’t that extensive but i’d maybe come back to try breakfast one day

★ 5Montague Diner is the perfect blend of classic New York diner and modern Brooklyn cool. You get all the traditional comforts—great breakfast, generous portions, strong coffee, and friendly service—served in a space that feels fresh, relaxed, and effortlessly hip.
The food is consistently solid and satisfying, whether you’re there for pancakes, eggs, or a quick lunch. Staff are welcoming and efficient, with that unmistakable New York warmth that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.
A true neighborhood gem that captures both old-school diner charm and contemporary NYC vibes. Highly recommended.
