★ 5Absolutely love this place. Muddy Waters Cafe has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the waterfront view makes it even more special. The coffee is excellent, rich and smooth, and the food is always fresh and delicious with generous portions. It’s a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch.
The staff are friendly and relaxed, which really adds to the experience, and sitting outside by the water on a nice day is a huge bonus. Whether you’re meeting friends or just enjoying a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend, truly a 5-star spot in New London. -

★ 5Super close to the Amtrak station! They offer many types of hot and cold drinks. The breakfast and lunch menu have many different healthy options. I will definitely visit again. This place does get busy so please be kind to the staff.

★ 4Muddy Water is a cute local spot with a lot of character, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The place was busy when I visited, which suggests it has a loyal following.
For me, though, it just wasn't a place I connected with. There wasn't anything specifically wrong with my experience, it simply wasn't my cup of tea. Taste and preferences are subjective, and while I didn't find myself wanting to come back, I can understand why others enjoy it. If you're curious, it's worth checking out and forming your own opinion. -

★ 5We had generous and delicious sandwiches for lunch, both reasonably priced. Sat on the back patio overlooking the Thames River. Great atmosphere, delicious coffee and food.
