  Pub perfection. Neighborhood spot I almost don’t want people to know about. Wide menu of food options and specials. They have a rotating menu of special dinners too, like pot roast. There’s a horseshoe bar and scattered seating for any group size.

  I’m Irish born and bred, so I know a good, authentic Irish bar when I see one, and this place is something special. It has a truly authentic Irish feel, where it’s about community and bringing people together through great events and good company. It’s a fantastic little spot with real heart.
  
  John, the owner, is incredibly personable and welcoming, and you can feel the care and pride he puts into the place.
  
  It has a great function room out the back and a lovely patio in the summer, there’s more to it than meets the eye. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. ☘️

  March 18th 2026: Abusing the likes of Corned BeefnnMarch 17th 2026: My wife ordered corned beef soda bread cabbage potato’s to go, awful is a loving friendly word compared to the sub par meal served.
  Donahue’s being an Irish/Scottish/English bar lacking the ability and integrity to think about lasting impressions for their customers to consider “slow cooking” the product. Understandable you are running a restaurant Where speed and efficiency is paramount. With that said: Donahues could have at least fast bakers a decent corned beef on St. Patrick’s Day. Sorry to say, but my 10 year old son could have pieced together a better product than Donahues and he still can’t make peanut butter and jelly if it lead depending on it. Fire your chef give him a spanking from one Irishman to another kiss my grits

  We’re not Watertown natives, but since moving to town 3 years ago, JD and the whole Donohue’s staff has welcomed us with open arms. We love coming here, be it Wednesday trivia, brunch, holiday parties, the Super Bowl, whenever, they rock. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is awesome. The staff is kind, always there for you, and make an effort to make you feel at home. This place is 12/10.

  Went there for a family party and The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Staff in the function area was outstanding and even at the other bar outside the function area they were very welcoming , helpful and most of all efficient. . Thank you very much .
