  Local diner in South Boston with great breakfast food and reasonable prices! The place is small so I recommend getting here early on weekends or you will be waiting outside for a table to open up. Service is quick and attentive, checking in consistently on top offs for coffee or if anything else is needed. Highly recommend!

  The kind of blue collar diner I love. Tucked next to the seaport and Castle Island, the Galley diner was great meal with very friendly staff in a home feeling establishment. About as legit of a diner as you'll find around Boston.

  Authentic diner in South Boston. The entire team here work really well together. We came for breakfast and Galley Diner did not disappoint.
  
  Bacon, egg & cheese. On sourdough. A must.
  
  Grilled ham & cheese. Amazing.
  
  Bacon & Eggs (came with toast & potatoes). Wow. So fundamentally amazing.

  This is the place you want to come to in South Boston. The folks working here are so nice and the food is incredible. No frills, just delicious, classic diner staples (we got the Benedict and Southie -highly recommend both). We will be sure to come back whenever we’re in town.

  Drove up from Pennsylvania to visit the Boston area and I’ve never felt more at home in an establishment as I did today. The woman that served us today (5/28/26 around 9am) was the kindest and friendliest person ever and every moment of it seemed genuine. The food was outstanding, it truly may have been the best part of our trip to Boston
