My husband and I worked remotely from here for 8+ hours the other day because we were having electrical work done on our home. Let me tell you… this is the absolute best cafe for working remotely! There are outlets everywhere, great wifi, and tons of different seating options (booths, countertops, etc). You can order online and they will deliver to your table # which was so convenient. We got coffees, smoothies, breakfast bowls, lunch bowls, and more throughout the day and everything was delicious! We will definitely be back.

We were visiting Newburyport and stopped here for lunch. This place is amazing; the food was delicious; the service was top notch. The employees are friendly and eager to help. The dining area is spacious, with plenty of outdoor seating as well. We can’t say enough about it this restaurant. It was a five star experience, across the board.

They say it takes about three visits of getting everything right before a customer becomes loyal. I tend to believe that. A lot of restaurants impress you the first time, then the second or third visit is just average.

That hasn’t been the case with NU Kitchen downtown.

My wife and I tried it for the first time several months ago and were impressed enough to come back. Now we’re wondering why we didn’t discover it sooner.

Let’s be clear. This isn’t a fancy five-star restaurant. But for what they serve, they absolutely nail it. I’ve tried more different menu items here than at almost any restaurant I can think of. Usually I find one thing I like and order it every time. At NU Kitchen, we’ve branched out quite a bit, and every dish has been really good.

The vibe is one of the best parts. If you’re looking for a place where you can order your food, find a seat, relax, and enjoy your meal, this is it. Every time we leave, my wife and I look at each other and say, “That was pleasant.” It’s almost like you have the place to yourself, even when it’s busy. The line moves quickly and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming.

We’ve visited after 5 PM several times and recently stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast wraps are excellent, and the egg sandwiches are just as good.

What stands out most to me is the quality of the ingredients. Everything tastes fresh, clean, and healthy without sacrificing flavor.

Bottom line: great food, excellent atmosphere, and consistently good experiences. Expect to spend around $40 for two people, which feels like a fair value for what you get.

I drove here, even though I was close to a wonderful bakery with breakfast options because I heard the avocado toast was great. I ordered mine with an egg on it and it came without the egg and the bread was so lightly toasted that it was soft and folding in my hand. It was pretty flavorless too and took a long time to come out. There was some space to work on a laptop for a bit if needed.

Very cute breakfast and lunch restaurant with a big menu! I got an acai bowl and it was exactly what I was hoping for. All of their breakfast sandwiches sounded great too. Service was prompt and friendly.
