★ 5Visited Salem, was looking for a Denny’s, none close by and Google recommended Peabody’s. Such a cute, quaint place serving breakfast and lunch, open from 6am-2pm. My husband and I got there a little after 1pm and did not feel rushed. I had the ham tomatoes and onion omelette and it was beautifully done, potatoes and had choice of different rye toasts, which i love. I got the marble rye.
My husband had eggs over easy, potatoes, sausage links and bacon. He also had their fresh squeezed orange juice which was delicious!
Service was great, totally family owned. Everyone was so pleasant. Place is adorable, but not big, so may get crowded on the weekends? We were there on a Monday.
Food portions were nicely sized, priced reasonable, for this economy. Very much recommend! -

★ 5Great place, staff are attentive, and the food is really good. The coconut French toast (second pic) is THE BEST I ever had. 😋

★ 5I Loved the Peabody Diner! I had the Ruben sandwich with chips- I will say that sadly I did not get a pic of it, it was THAT good! 😋😋 I had coffee to drink and it was pretty good!!
The atmosphere is just what I was hoping for, quaint, locals coming in for lunch as well. Their prices are terrific, especially in a more torist-y area.
The menu had a nice selection of breakfast foods as well as lunch foods.
The restroom was nice and clean and was not dirty or stinky.
I will say tho, they only serve breakfast and lunch, so stop in early for this hidden jem in the hustle and bustle of tourists!
My hats off the Peabody Diner and I would absolutely have to say this is an****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED****nStop while in the area- which happens to be right on the Salem line😁😮😉 -

★ 5Recently visited The Peabody Diner, which has been voted the best in 2024 and 2025 — and it’s easy to see why! It’s a great spot with a solid breakfast selection. We tried the veggie omelette and blueberry pancakes — both were fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions.
It was a bit noisy and crowded for my personal taste, especially during peak hours, but that’s part of its popularity. Parking can also be a bit tricky due to how busy it gets. That said, if you're looking for a classic, lively breakfast spot, it's definitely worth checking out. -
