★ 5B and I went here and I didnt look at the reviews to start with. I got the shrimp and grits and b got the chicken sandwich. It was on point. The grits were creamy and yes they have some spice. Janay was our waitress and she was wonderful. The kitchen did not read the ticket right and she caught it and made them remake my order. Otherwise we would have had an issue with me being allergic to fish.

★ 1I was excited to come and support a new small owned business in the area, especially after seeing it on instagram.
Came in today and was seriously underwhelmed. Tables were dirty and people sitting and waiting for someone to come and at least remove from in front of them.
The location is small but you have to wait to be seated and was greeted by the woman at the bar telling across the space to tell me to wait and then for her to clear a table for me to sit.
Took 20 minutes to even be greeted and asked for my drink order. The woman who came in after me was greeted and served before me….despite her coming in 15 minutes after me.
The food was also underwhelming. Lack of seasoning and sausage in the sausage gravy. The scrambled eggs looked rubbery. Woman sitting next to us asked for a chicken breakfast sandwich and it was made with a chicken wing. So as she was eating it was wondering where all the meat was located.
The shrimp in the shrimp and grits were seasoned with Cajun seasoning and sautéed and placed on the side of the gravy. It wasn’t bad…but if there was better service…might have had it better.
The fried green tomatoes were dripping grease all over the greens. And were too wet to eat and enjoy!!
Not a place that I would really consider returning. Which is sad given the desire to support these new smaller businesses. -

★ 3MeehhhhnnThis is a convenient option if you're in the area. But I definitely would not drive to this part of town just to eat here nor if I was in a rush. The restaurant is small but they make great use of the dining space.
We only ordered a chicken biscuit to-go and it took 45 minutes for us to get it. After the first 30 minutes they gave us the wrong order by accident and then we waited another 15 minutes for them to fix it.
There was no effort to reconcile and compensate us for the error and wait. Typically, restaurants handle these matters by offering a comped item for the trouble or even reimburse the tab. They never attempted to.
After the long anticipated wait, it was just ok. The eggs were scrambled well but the sliver of chicken on the biscuit was thin like a fed-up mother's patience. The chicken Pattie lacked more meat and flavor. It would be better drenched in hot sauce. But they do provide a generous side of maple butter and jam on the side to make up for what the chicken biscuit obviously lacks.
They earned the 3.6 rating above. Let it accurately guide you. -

★ 4I woke up with Buttermilk Biscuit on my brain. I had been meaning to visit this place for a while. Wifey was not really that hungry, but I still dragged her along anyway. We approached the property and found a spot in the shared parking lot, which was a decent size. We took a short walk over, entered and made eye contact with the young hostess at the far end of the small dining room. She motioned us over to a small table for two before handing us menus. We reviewed the menu quickly. Wifey stuck to her guns and decided not to eat. Our server came over shortly after. She was soft spoken and not very smiley, but she quickly took our order. I ordered the French Toast with bacon. Wifey went with just a coffee and an orange juice. I also noticed they had a self serve kiosk for ordering food. I am assuming that is for ordering food to go. We were hanging and enjoying the R&B classics playing in the background. The food took longer than expected, but every plate I saw pass by looked good. At one point, our server walked around us with two plates, a breakfast sandwich and French toast. That French toast made a full lap around the dining room before landing back at our table. When it arrived, it looked fresh. I dug in and it was light, not greasy and excellent. The meal was a winner! I finished quickly and asked for the check. Overall, this was a solid first visit to Buttermilk Biscuit. The dining room was bright and clean, and the food was fresh and delicious. Our main server was not very personable, had low energy and I was struggling to hear what she was saying, but most likely we will return.

★ 1I ordered a blueberry lemon zest biscuit with maple butter and peach “jam” and 4 Nashville hot chicken tenders through door dash but the order was immediately cancelled due to the restaurant being unable to fulfill it. I still went up there because my sister placed her order and they were able to fulfill hers and we had to pickup her meal. While I was there I decided to ask the lady at the front who greeted us for pickups were they out of the items I ordered and she seemed confused as to why my order was cancelled (Which is odd because I work in food service as well and work with door dash daily. You have to cancel it from the restaurant side when it states unable to fulfill) and I had shown her the money was taken from my account and the confirmation text. Door dash did say i’d get a refund in 3 days, however. The lady who was acting confused about my order said she didn't know why it cancelled said she’d go check with the kitchen but when she came back she didn't say anything to me? She just kept moving around and going back behind the curtain and didn’t acknowledge me anymore. My sister suggested i try to order again so i went to the kiosk and replaced my order and sat to wait and while I was waiting I made several observations. I thought it was funny my order could be made with me in the store all of a sudden. But, the customer service is SEVERELY poor.A girl with ginger hair had an attitude because her table sent back fried green tomatoes and she slammed the plate down at the main counter and said something under her breath. It’s a small space; so you can imagine everyone is looking wondering what’s going. As I’m sitting at a stool at the counter in front of their juice and coffee station this tall boy with locs keeps bumping me as he’s walking trying to give his a table a check and doesn’t say excuse me and I adjusted myself several times so he wouldn't continue to bump me. But he never apologized. The lady who claimed to try to find out what happened to my order finally acknowledged me and asked did I ever get it fixed and i told her yes i just placed a new order on the in store kiosk. She said good and about 5 minutes later (20 minutes in total to wait so not bad) my order came out. I had to ask for the maple butter and peach “jam” that i already included in my order. ( it was more like compote. Definitely not a jam) and we took it to go. I should have inspected my bag more thoroughly before leaving because when i opened the bag and got into the box it was actually a joke what i came across but i let it go because i was already annoyed from waiting so long, being lied to and dealing with poor customer service and rude employees. My pictures are posted so you can know there is no exaggeration when i say the chicken was scrawny, cold and sweet(?) it’s nashville hot idk why it had sweetness to it, the biscuit was hard on the outside and lacked flavor. I was extremely disappointed and annoyed over all and it’s frustrating because I work in food service as well and would never treat my guests this way, give them this poor excuse for a meal or this experience. It’s proper jokes and I don’t expect them to be in the community long at all. Visit at your own risk.⚠️
