A Hidden Gem in Hampshire, IL!
I’ve driven past this cute little corner diner for years but was never up early enough to stop in and now I wish I had! It has that perfect cozy, country greasy spoon vibe, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Our waitress (I didn’t catch her name) was so personable and attentive, which really made the experience special. She even surprised our son by putting a birthday candle on his waffle without us asking...such a sweet gesture that made his birthday extra special (THANK YOU DARLIN!)nnWe might just make this a birthday tradition, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this little spot!

Wonderful place to grab your breakfast and brunch. Attentive service. Quick serve. Lots of options. Waffles are great. Eggs hash brown coffee - all good. You will see quite a few regulars. One of them had been coming here for 15 years. It’s a local favorite. Try it and you will be a regular too.

Listen… this place is a hidden gem for real. 🤎nAmazing food, a small-diner atmosphere, and a huge personality — the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel at home.

The staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive — even on a cold winter morning.
That matters. A lot. You can tell they actually care about the people walking through the door and the food was amazing!

Allen’s has that true home-style, neighborhood diner feeling — the kind you don’t find very often anymore.

And let me say this… I’ve lived in Pingree Grove for three years and somehow never knew this place existed. I’ve driven past it plenty of times — blink and you’ll miss it — but now?
It’s officially one of my favorite local spots.

    Quick heads-up for first-timers:n💵 Bring cash. They’re old-school — and honestly, I respect that.

I love supporting local restaurants and knowing more of my money is going directly to the people and the business — not getting eaten up by unnecessary fees to big companies. 🤎✊🏾nnReal food. Real people. Real community.
This place is exactly what a local diner should be.

One of the coolest places I’ve ever had the chance to have lunch! 104 year old history, and the owner comes in every day early and makes all the specials. She’s cooking the way her grandmother taught her! We will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality.!
