Stopped into this cafe after section hiking the AT.
Sabrina was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and another woman Liz(?) came over for some friendly conversation as well. We got the crispy chicken sandwich, a grilled cheese, fries and hot tea. All of it was delicious! If we were local, we would definitely visit again. The staff, food and atmosphere were perfect.

Despite what most of these “so called critics” have to say, the service was amazing!! Staff is very friendly and the chef is very talented. Making a vast variety of different dishes known to blow your socks off. Showing mastery in the field. As a fellow food reviewer/ critique from the NY side— this is definitely a uniquely warm inviting experience! From one food baddie to another, please invite your taste buds to an amazing delightful experience.

This is a lovely, low key place for breakfast, lunch, or weekend brunch. For the handicap accessible entrance and parking, take the driveway to the left. It shares a back entrance with the Senior Center. I was pleased to see plenty of room between the tables, so the interior is accessible if you use a rollator or wheelchair.
I will be back, with guests!

Off The Trail Cafe has only been open for less than a year, but the place has brought a vibe to our little town that is so loved & appreciated. Great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere all contribute to a welcoming place. Not only is it a great stop for hikers, but other visitors and locals find it to be a perfect place to get a great breakfast and lunch, sweet treats and a perfect variety of coffees and drinks. Local foods like Peaches and Cream Ice Cream are a real treat in warm weather and local favorites like the legendary Toymakers Waffles & Hannah's Donuts are not to be missed. Nate (the Great!) is a great cook and owner Liz is very talented, too. All the staff is wonderful. Outside seating where you can relax in our beautiful village with your dog or with your hiking or bicycle friends are a big plus. And when the weather is cold, a warm drink inside a clean and cozy place is very enjoyable. Local items are for sale, and lots of perfect items for the hikers are available. Liz & Howie have definitely done their research and know what makes everyone happy. They sure have made our little town happy and we look forward to many more years of scrumptious food & good vibes!

Such a great café right in the center of town! Liz is the absolute sweetest and really took the time to listen to dietary needs, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. And the Bear Burrito? Incredible!! Highly recommend this cafe if you’re looking for good food and kind people.
