  Root & Press Café is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome- especially Sarah, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful.
  
  The food was outstanding. The Bavo cheese melt was perfectly made, the smoothie was fresh and delicious, and the cappuccino was excellent—rich, smooth, and exactly what you hope for. My son absolutely loved his grilled cheese and fries, and the fact that he was so comfortable and happy says everything. He’s already asking when we can come back again!
  
  The dining area is first come, first served, but tables turn over quickly and the flow is handled really well. The atmosphere can be a little crowded at times, but the crowd remained relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly.
  
  Amazing food, amazing coffee, and truly amazing people. Root & Press Café has definitely earned a repeat visit from us!

  I LOVED this place! So cute and cozy, a great place to chat or snuggle up with a book. I love how there’s multiple areas, a coffee bar type situation, tables amongst books, and even restaurant style seating with booths! So something for everyone :). The waiters were so kind and helpful it was a really nice place to enjoy a bite. My matcha was so delicious and same with the bagel with goat cheese and fig jam, it was the perfect amount of savory and sweet!

  This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or to grab a yummy coffee. The menu offers vegan and gluten-free options in addition to regular fare. The plants & books add to the coziness of the space. The staff are friendly, informative, and helpful. I had the R&P Rizzler-two eggs, sausage, cheddar, crispy potato pancake, and maple syrup - stacked on brioche. What a combination! I paid $1 extra for the extra-crispy home fries (not sure why there is an upcharge), and they were perfectly cooked. Scrat's Nutty Latte-espresso, walnut, hazelnut, choice of milk, topped with nutmeg, was a delicious accompaniment. My husband chose the Bellissimo Sunrise Panini-egg, tomato, basil, herb mayo, balsamic glaze, greens, red onion, and fresh mozzarella on multigrain ciabatta and was wholly satisfied with his selection. It was fresh, substantial and flavorful. His extra crispy fries were spot on. I can't wait to return to Root & Press and explore the menu and books further.

  I LOVE this cafe and bookstore!! The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the vibe is great, and you can eat with a larger group on one side or just chill with a coffee on the other side, where there is an adorable independent bookstore. They are open later on Tues, Wed, Thurs (the hours on Google Maps aren’t updated I don’t think) and it’s a great place to meet up with friends, grab a book, or study! They have a fun book club too. Any book they don’t have they can order for you too. Can’t say enough good things about this place and my favorite is the Maplewood Spiced Chai! It’s addictive!

  I truly can't praise Root and Press, and it's staff, enough. Everytime I go the food is spectacular, the service is amazing, and the vibe of the whole place just makes me feel so relaxed and comfortablenRecently placed a really large order for some coworkers and It was a perfect experience. The staff was so accommodating and the food was exceptional. Whether you're ordering to go, taking a look at their amazing book selection,or sitting down to work with your laptop and coffee, I can't recommend enough!!!
