We waited over an hour to eat here, from 10:00 am to about 11:00 am. The wait itself was expected, but it is definitely something to keep in mind. A lot of people recommend arriving before opening to put your name down, which I would also suggest.

When our table was ready, a staff member called names from the list and tried to make a joke or pun for each one. Sometimes it was funny, but other times it felt a bit awkward. At one point, he couldn’t pronounce someone’s name and said “come on in a name I can’t pronounce.” Some people laughed, but others seemed a little annoyed.

For food, we ordered the beef patty loco moco, açaí bowl, lobster eggs benedict, and coco macnut soufflé pancakes. The loco moco had a nice gravy and the rice paired well with it. The lobster eggs benedict was well made and tasted good, especially the eggs. The coco macnut pancakes were very heavy on the coconut flavor, which was a bit overwhelming for me. The açaí bowl tasted good but the portion was small.

One thing to note is that each person is required to order a dish. Our total ended up being over $100, so it is on the pricier side.

Overall, the food was decent, but not worth waiting an hour. There are better options out there.

The breakfast we had here was wonderful. I was worried at first due to the crowd of people waiting and the long sign-up sheet for a table, but we got in within about 20min of putting our name down. The servers were all incredibly nice, one even offered to take a picture of our party for us. The food was amazing and came out super fast. I got the Ono meal kit for a more traditional, savory breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned amazingly, the protuguese sausage was well cooked, and the eggs were made exactly to order. I thought the prices were decent for what we got. I am tempted to come back here for breakfast every day of our trip! 😋

Tucked away off Ena road, Aloha Kitchen is a must stop place for breakfast and brunch. We decided to get there before it opened and to our surprise there was already a line forming.

They have a sign in sheet so if you do choose to get there early, put your name down and once they open they will call your name out. We had the pleasure of being greeted by one of their workers who just oozes energy and hospitality. Immediately made us feel welcome and cracked jokes to lighten the mood while the rest waited outside for their seats.

Although the interior is small and cozy, it does hold quite a bit of tables and seats.

Ordered the souffle pancakes which were super light and fluffy covered with coconut cream sauce and topped with crushed macadamia nuts. The cream sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to it which was not overbearing sweet where you couldn't finish it.

Also ordered the eggs Benedict which was savory and well seasoned. The eggs were poached perfectly and was not over salted.

Definitely recommend stopping by here for one of your morning breakfast/ brunch when you visit the islands in the Waikiki area.

Parking is very limited but if you're lucky, there are places to find parking on the street nearby.

💠 This solid, no-frills breakfast spot in Waikiki served us the Loco Moco (beef) and Egg Sammy bagel sandwich. The Loco Moco is a must-try Hawaiian dish, while the bagel sandwich was a filling and solid breakfast choice. Despite feeling full, it wasn’t greasy or heavy like diners like IHOP or Denny’s. All interactions with the servers were warm and intentional. We’ll definitely get a sweet breakfast soufflé pancake next time.

💠 There’s no designated parking, but you can Uber drop off or park on the street. I’ve included two paid public parking spots (less than a 1-minute walk).

💠 For context we arrived at 7 am with three parties ahead of us. The restaurant uses a paper waitlist, and the host will call names starting at 7:30 am. If you decide to take a walk to pass the time, please make sure you return before your name is called.

Aloha Kitchen was amazing! The food was great and everything tasted fresh. The staff was super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The wait time was around 30 minutes, and the whole place had a warm, family vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food and great service!
