★ 5It has come to my attention that this establishment offers exceptional service, a fact I was previously unaware of. We have clearly overlooked a valuable opportunity. I highly recommend a visit to this cafe for anyone in the vicinity. My compliments to the entire team for their outstanding performance.

★ 4Stopped into City Cafe Diner while waiting for our new truck to be detailed at Bentley Buick GMC and honestly, this turned into a really pleasant surprise.
From an atmosphere standpoint, this isn’t one of those ultra-modern trendy diners. The interior feels a little dated, some of the booth seating wobbles a bit, and overall it’s slightly darker inside than we would personally prefer. That said, none of that ended up mattering much once the food arrived.
And wow… it arrived FAST.
We ordered the Philly Steak & Cheese along with the Pastrami Reuben, both served with fries. The speed of service was genuinely impressive, especially considering how large their menu is. The Philly was well seasoned, flavorful, and cooked perfectly without being greasy. The Pastrami Reuben was equally good, stacked nicely and served on fantastic bread with a really satisfying texture and flavor.
Speaking of bread — both sandwiches used different breads and both were excellent. That’s one of those small details that separates “pretty good diner food” from a place that actually cares about execution.
The menu itself is enormous. It feels like they serve just about everything imaginable, so even picky eaters or large groups should easily find something they like. And then there’s the dessert case… absolutely breathtaking. Even if you come in full, you’ll probably still stop and stare at it for a minute.
Would absolutely recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a solid, satisfying meal with huge menu variety and impressively quick service. -

★ 3Okay, so I went to this place Sunday after church and the vibe was totally on point with super friendly servers who really paid attention. I decided to go for the country fried steak plate because I was craving some comfort food. Honestly, I was a little bummed out when it arrived though. It just wasn't what I was hoping for. If I had to guess id say it was a frozen fried steak patty fried and served. I've had it so many other places and this one just missed the mark. It really needs to be made in house. Maybe I'll try something else next time I'm in the mood for a good meal. #Foodie #CountryFriedSteak #Disappointed #ComfortFoodFail 😩

★ 5I have never had a bad experience at this diner! You literally can’t go wrong with any of the food, but I highly recommend the spanakopita meal! If anything save room for dessert because the cakes are mouthwateringly delicious!

★ 5Stopped here for lunch today....and was amazed at the variety on their menu...Burgers, Sandwiches, Italian food, Greek food, Steak, Seafood, Breakfast ALL DAY, and some of the most delicious looking desserts you've ever seen! We received a large complimentary bread loaf that was divine.....and it came with butter and a house made feta spread that was literally addictive. I tried the Carbonara and my hubby had a meat-lover's omelette with home fries. Both were fresh and hot and came out quickly. Portion sizes were very generous, and everythign tasted really good. My meal came with a nice salad that was crisp and fresh as well. Our server, Theresa was a gem.....very friendly and she took great care of us. They have two HUGE dessert cases, but we were so full that we did not get dessert this time. We will definitely go back again soon to try dessert though....Their pies and cakes look like somethign in a professional bakery. Another great spot to check out in Huntsville!
