  Nice little quaint place in Richmond which served gluten free and vegan waffles! I looked forward to this since it’s always difficult to find breakfast item that fit my diet. I order a plain waffle which was decent and the syrup was tasty. I also order the potato waffle which was the best part of my breakfast, I had them throw some scrambled eggs on top. The chicken wasn’t very well seasoned but the service and friendliness of the staff was great. Definitely find your table before ordering at the counter. I also had tea and was offered to have any flavor added to it such as vanilla.

  Never had such an waffle, we had just passed by and ordered a few waffles. Never thought I’d be served with calm music and good vibes, and two amazingly soft and delicious waffles. The workers are so nice and the environment is very welcoming. Tip: order waffles with chocolate chip/other on the SIDE!!

  Really have no idea how this place gets high marks. There is literally no flavor to the waffle meal I ordered. None. Chicken, no flavor. Eggs, no flavor. The sausage gravy, has to have flavor right?!? Nope. As bland as bland could be. Waffle was soggy as well. Ordered orange juice because they don’t have decaf coffee. Orange juice tasted terrible. Straight from concentrate, bag, tube or box. Threw it in the trash. Went to order another drink that was on their bored and they said they didn’t have bananas.
  
  Sweet! Plastic utensils. So much waste here. If you like bland, mediocre food, hair in your food and a caffeine high, this is your place!

  So I am a breakfast person, plain and simple. Naturally that means when I go out of town I like to try local restaurants that serve appealing breakfast dishes. Capital Waffle Shop did not disappoint. It has a food truck/coffee shop fusion kind of a vibe. Service was friendly and fast...more importantly the waffles were great. Definitely recommended giving them an opportunity if you're in the area.

  This place is so incredibly creative. It was a great choice for a group of 5. Everyone one found something they wanted.
  
  The waffle options were so amazing. I had the berry crunch waffle with a tater tot waffle. And the combo of sweet and savory were so perfect together. Their cold brew was really great.
  
  Staff was so kind and helpful. Really just a wonderful spot for brunch.
