We’ve been to Dish Society SEVERAL times now — for brunch, lunch, and happy hour — and every single visit always has some sort of hit!

The food here is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious, with so much care clearly put into every dish! The vibe inside is super cute, clean, and welcoming, with a small outdoor patio that’s perfect for a sunny Austin day and even if Austin's weird weather comes into play part of the outdoor seating is also covered.

When we've gone it’s never felt overly crowded (except one time during a morning rush, but we can see why) and the customer service has been phenomenal every time — from staff offering great recommendations to keeping tables spotless and making sure guests are happy.

We’ve loved everything we’ve tried, but a few standouts have been the Texas hot chicken sandwich (crispy, juicy, sweet, and savory perfection), the smoked salmon avocado toast (so fresh and flavorful), ranch-style eggs, and the grilled pesto chicken sandwich.

During happy hour, we grabbed the burger, some bites and drinks, with the burger for sure being a must — and the team even offered to cut the burger in half since we mentioned we were sharing. Small touches like that go a long way!

Their happy hour is also a great deal and definitely worth checking out. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t skip dessert — the Proud Pies they source from Houston are dangerously good. We still need to go back just to do a full pie tasting! The white chocolate pretzel bread pudding was warm, rich, and gave off total almond croissant vibes.

Oh, and don’t sleep on the mimosa flight — or their Mug Club, where you can purchase a YETI at their location and get free coffee refills when you bring it in. Genius!

All around, Dish Society is one of those rare spots that nails fresh, local food, great service, and good vibes every time. We highly recommend it! We'll be back, obviously!

Tons of food options and everything was both high quality and flavorful. We had a vegan eating with us and they easily were able to find something they could eat and loved it.

We ordered ahead and the online menu showed things that were out of stock that had a ton of availability when we showed up, specifically some of the pies. We were able to pick it up once there but seemed like an arbitrary oversight to not have your inventory accurate in this day and age.

Overall was really good and plan to go back.

Good counter-service restaurant with an excellent happy hour. It's a relaxed place to get a drink, indoor and outdoor section, good service. Vibe is very casual. Not a great place for a date, but a good place to hang with friends or to grab lunch.

Happy Hour menu and cocktails are the best deal in town. The staff are very friendly. Cute interior. As far as the food, it's a bit bland and somewhat lack luster... We had the avocado toast. It was good but a bit strange with the sweetness of the marscapone spread. The hummus plate was OK. Not much flavor there. The truffle Mac-n-cheese grew on me after several bites... I would definitely come back for the cocktails.

Our food was excellent and the service was superior. The latter deserves a shout-out to Marco. He made the difference between being just another good place to eat and one that you want to return to time and again. He was attentive and personable in taking care of us and the other nearby diners. He's earnest in what he says and does and it shows - he cares much I'd hire him in a nanosecond knowing for certain that I was hiring a person that is easily in the top 5%.
We had breakfast/brunch. Both the house omlette and the tostadas were very good. The side of pan-fried potatoes were remarkably good. I have seen comments on some of the food ... Please note that the any of yhe lesser reviews/remarks I saw were about grits, avocado toast, etc. There's only so much you can do with grits! Grits are grits. Maybe y'all could offer add-in's and add-on's for such more on the bland side of menu items. eg cinnamon, brown sugar, pecans, mild jalapeños, .. served on the side in appropriate portions. We'll be back to try other entres including the pies we saw but were too full to even consider. I know pies - period and I can tell from looking at the apple and cherry pies (must use sour/tart cherries & they do) that they're beyond anything you can find in any restaurant offering pies on their menu.
