★ 5I have drove by this place thousands of times over the years and have always wanted to stop in. I was working across the street today and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! I just got a Cheeseburger with Macaroni Salad but YO, was it on point! The price was very good for the quality and amount. They could charge more but I am glad they don't. Staff was friendly and quick. Place was clean and a fun atmosphere. They also use cloth napkins, that I love. I will definitely come back when I am in the area.

★ 5Classic spot that is just so good for what it is. Raggedy building in the best way. Inside is a classic diner with a great menu and great service. I had the avocado toast which comes with eggs and hashbrowns. Got a side of sausage gravy too and man it was a perfect combo of everything. Partner got a omlette that was also super good and perfectly cooked. Prices are great too especially for 2025. I'll be back.

★ 4I had the steak and eggs a few days ago. I asked for medium rare and I got it well done. But you know what? It tasted delicious. And it was tender and juicy. The main reason I asked for medium rare is so that it doesn't get dry and tough. So, I didn't say anything, but partly it was because they were very busy. And being that they were busy, they didn't really have time to give very good service. But I'm still giving 4 stars because I don't expect top-notch service or perfectly cooked steaks in a place called a saloon. I've been back several times and there's a reason for that. There's a warmth and a friendliness that brings you back. And I really like their patio. And it's about as close as you can get to Riverside dining in this part of the city. At least you can walk off your meal riverfront. I'll be back to try that chilaquiles special.

★ 5This is on our bus route to downtown, so we’ve seen it so many times. This little oasis of personality. And it is. The service was friendly, easy-going but moved fast. The Bloody Mary is the best I have had in Portland, unfussy but the perfect balance of spice & sweet. We both accidentally got gravy centered dishes and damn. Good!
Seeing the familiar friendliness of the servers & the customers solidified this place. It’s an absolute gem. -

★ 5Honestly this place rocks. We are new to the area and went to try it out for the first time for the inaugural duck game.
Atmosphere is exactly what you would hope for a local watering hole. Timeless and homey. Unfortunately the game was not available, but that was a Comcast issue and the owner was working feverishly to try and figure out the situation which I appreciate.
Food was killer, exactly the kind of bar food I love to have for enjoying a game. The club was fantastic and the hash browns are not to be missed. Perfect level of crisp with a nice fluffy interior. Also wound up getting a burger for happy hour which was hearty and delicious. Big menu, lots of fun stuff to try.
Beer is great, food is awesome, vibe is right. I expect to come back here as my new local spot.
