I went to the Breakfast Republic at their downtown location over the weekend and had a really great experience. Even though it was busy, we were seated in about 15 mins. The ambiance is casual and relaxed.

We started with their in-house freshly squeezed orange juice and the Breakfast Republic specialty latte with vanilla, chai, and mocha. Both were delicious. The OJ was refreshing, and the latte was comforting.

For food, we ordered the Hot Chick Benedict and their Chilaquiles. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions and well-seasoned sauces.

We also tried their limited-time special, the Golden Harvest French Toast, and this was the highlight. The brioche French toast topped with ricotta, fig jam, cinnamon-roasted pears, and a sweet honeycomb crumble was absolutely amazing. It was rich & perfectly sweet, and we honestly devoured the whole plate.

Overall, a really enjoyable brunch with great drinks and standout food.

We were lookin for a place to have breakfast while visiting San Diego from Texas. We walked in to this place out of the blue .

We got seated asap (table 2 ) and we had phenomenal service. Everyone was working together which was a breath of fresh air. From the host to the server to the bus boy. Everyone seems looks happy to work there and all had great attitude.

Food was amazing as well! Highly recommend the Bacon Pancakes and my wife loved their Cafe de Oya.

    Will definitely be back.

Breakfast Republic absolutely brings together great food, great vibe, and truly standout service. First off, Kayla deserves a massive shoutout, she was phenomenal. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful in everything she did. She checked in at all the right moments, made sure everything was perfect, and brought such positive energy to the table. Experiences like this are rare, and she’s absolutely the kind of team member who elevates the entire restaurant. Seriously, give her a raise!

    What we ordered:
Orange juice & coffee – refreshing and a perfect startnProtein pancakes – absolutely amazing, fluffy and satisfyingnChicken fennel sausage with scrambled eggs – flavorful and cooked perfectlynSide of turkey bacon – crisp and deliciousnSide of French toast with strawberry and mascarpone – sweet, creamy, and indulgent in the best waynnThe food was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. You could really tell the ingredients are high quality. On top of that, the place has an awesome vibe lively, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.

Between the food, the atmosphere, and Kayla’s exceptional service, this was an easy five-star experience. Can’t wait to come back.

On the way out of town looking for a spot to watch before we hit the road and we came across breakfast republic. It was very crowded (1 hour wait for a party of 8) but we didn’t mind because we were already parked and one of our group members said it was good.
While this restaurant seems to be upscale from the outside, the ambiance on the inside was akin to a Denny’s. I’ve actually had better customer service experiences at Denny’s come to think of it. One of our group members didn’t get their meal until after the rest of the table had already eaten. 👎 Since we’re on the topic of waiting, there was also a ridiculous wait line for the restrooms of all things. I’ve never had to wait in line for a restroom standing in the middle of the dining room. I provided a photo of what the line for the restroom looked like at any given moment. The dining area was cramped, so noisy, and people were constantly elbowing me in the head as they got in and out of their seats behind me. I don’t think this restaurant is ideal for groups larger than 3 or 4.
The food was okay, overpriced but still tasty. I think this place is just ok, kind of overhyped on the reviews. One and done for me! I’d just go to a mom and pop joint next time.

Service and hospitality was great from everyone. Food was delicious. Mexican Mocha coffee was really good, the OJ was freshly squeezed and superb. Breakfast burger was thumbs up! I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and was impressed. It was not overly sweet at all and very good. The line was long but moved quickly.
